Android Robot Studies

Google's Android robot is one of the most recognized characters in tech. But could the family grow? Working closely with Wolff Olins and Google, we researched the possibilities of expanding the Android character family. The question was whether the robot's simple, universal form could carry individual personality without losing its identity.

We designed a bespoke set of characters, each with specific and unique properties. Different proportions, postures, and behaviors, yet all recognizably part of the same family. The project explored how far a single design system can stretch while keeping its coherence, and whether a cast of characters could work together as harmoniously as the original works alone.
